Mr. Lacerenza graduated from R.C.C. (Rogue Community College) with an associates degree in June 2004 after working for 2 years in the physical science department at R.C.C. as a student laboratory technician.

Joe enrolled in the PSPP department of the college of agriculture in their bachelor of science degree in Plant Biotechnology at Montana State University in 2005. Joe was published twice as the first author in two peer reviewed publications, one in Cereal Chemistry, 2006, and the other in The Oxford Journal of Experimental Botany, 2010.

In 2007 he was awarded the Spirit of Ethanol Award from EPAC (Ethanol Producers And Consumers) for his research in biofuels. Joe worked as a student and research assistant for four years in the PSPP department of the college of agriculture, MSU.  His passion for plant biotechnology began when he started experimenting with marijuana cultivation.

Unfortunately, in the U.S. it was hard to discover the true scientific attributes to the plant he always yearned to learn about. For instance, a student could go to school today with the sole intent to go and work with peas, like Mendel once did, but not weed.

  1. illinois mike Says:

i’m a cannabis patient/advocate working on getting legislation passed here in illinios. i’ve suffered from DDD since my second fusion 18 years apart a dozen years ago. i was taking a shoebox of pharmaceuticals to deal with the pain and side effects of the oral opiates. a hospice nurse recommended i try cannabis and attempt to get off of some (if not all) of those 15 different prescribed meds, after spending nearly three years bedridden and losing over a third of my body weight, i didn’t have any options left. within a few months, my quality of life improved dramatically
and withing a few years. i was off 95% of my prescribed meds. this saves our states medicaid program nearly $100K a year and i know some other patients that experience even higher pharmaceutical savings, MS patients drugs are even more expensive.
considering that 50% of the health care dollars are spent on just 5%
of the population (the chronically and terminally ill) the room for savings is just an incredible side effect on a product that is quite a bit safer.

if you know anyone in your business in our state, please forward my information. we are in the process of putting a program together here and want to make sure we have all of our bases covered. thanks for your time.
